Abelló Linde will invest 70 millions of euros in the next following years

The president of Abelló Linde, Mr. Antoni Negre, announced last Friday the 26th October the investment of 70 million of euros for the next three years. This amount will be assigned to a construction of a new production plant, a new supply centre and to allow an enlargement and modernization of different installations as well. This information has been published on the occasion of the centenary event’s celebration, to commemorate that it was founded in 1907 by Carl Von Linde and Isidro Abelló.
Mr. Negre was accompanied in the press conference by the Chief Operating officer (CEO), Mr. Andreas Wiedemann, and Mr. Isidro Abelló, nephew grandson of the founders, member of the Board of Directors and commissioner of the centenary ceremony.

In the meeting was communicated that the new production plant will be probably settled in the Levante area (by the Spanish Mediterranean coast) and it will be created to give response to the increasing demand of the Abelló Linde products in that area. It was remarkable the importance of being located near the costumers (on-site) for logistics supply matters and reduction costs. It was also informed that it is forecasted the creation of a new supply centre in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz), with the object to help increase the capacity in Andalucía up to 50%, and it is planned to enlarge the production in Catalonia up to 25%. In what other production plants is concerned, Abelló Linde will follow a constant policy of modernization and updating the supply resources (Bottles, tanks and cryogenics tanks).

At the press conference was also emphasized the importance of the roll that Barcelona plays in the whole company after the multinational group reorganized his business in the Iberia Peninsula. Since the beginning of this year, Spanish and Portuguese subsidiaries have their operative headquarter in the Catalan capital (where it was already settled since the foundation of Abelló Linde)

For the next years the company foresees a significant growth in some different fields such as food, electronics, and environment and specialty gases.
