Last Thursday, the 25th October Abelló Linde celebrated the central event of its centenary with a dinner summoned in “La Casa Llotja de Mar de Barcelona” (emblematic building of Gothic and neoclassic architectural style) which is the Central Office of the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona. The event was chaired by the President of
La Generalitat, Mr. José Montilla. At the dinner also attended the Minister of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, Mr.Joan Clos, the mayor of Barcelona, Mr. Jordi Hereu, and the consultant of Innovation, Universities and Enterprises, Mr. Josep Huguet, as well as the most important customers of the company.

The president of Abelló Linde, Mr. Antoni Negre, welcomed the guests and reviewed briefly his stage of entailment and especially his initial time at the company with Mr. Federico Abelló Bruguera, President of the company at that time, who propelled the launch of the company. Dr. Aldo Belloni, member of the Board of Directors, congratulated the members of the company and stressed in his speech the great strength the company has kept during its history (came thought two armed conflicts and a civil war) being able to maintain the spirit of cooperation, enthusiasm and loyalty in which were based Carl von Linde and Isidro Abelló.
The celebration of the centenary culminated the 29th October with the audience conceded by his Majesty, the King Mr. Juan Carlos to Mr. Antoni Negre, President of Abelló Linde, together with Mr. Peter Stocks, Mr. Isidro Abelló Riera and Mr. Francisco Belil, on behalf of the Board of Directors of the Company.
Coinciding with the Centenary, the company provided a total contribution of 50.000 euros in order to develop 3 medical projects.
Abelló Linde follows an active corporate policy in which social responsibilities actions are concerned. In the last financial years, the company has assigned to actions of this typology more than 150.000 euros by means of awarding with investigation grants and financing projects of other institutions.
